Janissary
The organization of the Janissaries, the most privileged and oldest class of the Kapıkulu Hearths, which constituted the permanent army of the Ottoman Empire, started in the first years of the reign of Murad I (1360-1389), and formed the core of the Ottoman army in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The Janissaries, whose main weapons were swords, shields, arrows, halberds, daggers, axes, spears, maces and yatans, later started to use rifles as well. It was the law for all of them to be in the place where the sultan was in the campaign and in peace. The Janissaries also took on the protection of the palace and the sultan.
• The collection created by enriching the relief work with engraving is a first. The works, which are prepared as bronze coating on synthetic polymer, will be produced in a limited number of 600 pieces of each model. The works, whose design registration has been obtained and will be presented with a certificate, refer to the glorious process of the Ottoman Empire, which reigned for 600 years.
