The Quran with a gold-plated cover in the box is a facsimile of the manuscript of Hamid Aytaç, one of the important calligraphers of the Ottoman period. There is a fine workmanship mother-of-pearl inlay with the technique applied for the first time in the decoration of the outer box. The box top gold piece is enriched with turquoise stones.
