HAGIA SOPHIA'S "YA FETTAH" DOOR KNOB: A library was built by Sultan Mahmud (Mahmud I) in 1739 with a donation of 4000 books. The library is entered from the bronze door with two wings, floral patterns and branches, decorated with the most beautiful metalwork and ornaments of Turkish construction art, between the two buttresses on the south of Hagia Sophia. The shortest meaning of the door knocker with the inscription "Ya-Fettah" on both door wings; (*Müsenna) is expressed as "The One Who Opens the Doors and Paths of Goodness". In this context, it is also explained that Allah acts as an arbitrator with His absolute justice and pulls His servants out of troubles. He is the one who helps the oppressed, opens spiritual doors for the believers, is the remedy for troubles and removes all obstacles. It is believed that the name Fettah opens all doors and locks. *Müsenna: means "composed of two parts or two pieces, double, two-story". The term müsennâ means "flat stacked or intricate, double and oppositely written writing, mirrored writing." The second part on the left is the reverse form of the original writing on the right. *Ya Fettah: One of the 99 names (Esma-ul Husna) of Allah.
